Welcome to Colorful Painting & Restorations!

Colorful Painting & Restoration was formed by Richard Davis formerly the founder of Interior Restorations (late 80’s – late 90’s).  Interior Restorations primarily worked for commercial property clients.  Colorful Painting so far has been primarily residential.

Colorful Painting brings to a project a combination of four independent professional painters each with 25 plus years in the industry.  We also have an association with Ray Gezon & Associates also a painting contractor as well as a licensed builder;  How about a remodel?  Our mission statement is to bring to a project the best talent, materials and tools to achieve the end result the client desires at a reasonable investment.

Testimonials will be forthcoming.  This is a new site so until we gather some testimonials we offer references.  Please view the before and after pictures of a historic house restoration and painting.  In lieu of showing you a number of pretty pictures of painted surfaces we want to feature workmanship of a more extreme preparation/restorative type achievement. One of our strongest benefits is our preparation of your surfaces; The foundation of all painted surfaces. We featured this challenging preparation as it features several techniques of smoothing out the surface of more than a century of hard crusty lead paint by either removal or feathering all the edges after scraping. Additionally with the use of primers, caulk, wood fillers and glaze we created a very crisp clean look while protecting the home from Michigan weather. Please note as the seven colors are applied the clean crisp lines we achieve.
